gold-talisman asked: Wanderlust means the feeling of needing to get up and go somewhere new that is so strong that you almost can't feel anything else. It's being stir-crazy. It's not an adjective, it's a noun. And people use it because 1) the idea of travel is romantic and 2) they've found a beautiful word to describe what they are feeling. Don't hate, appreciate.

I hate "Wanderlust."
Why are chicks so into this word? Is it really descriptive anymore now that everyone with a vagina between 19 and 34 uses it to describe their personality? And really, what does is it even intended to mean? Is there anyone who doesn’t enjoy traveling? “Oh no! I love being at work all day and doing the same boring shit I do all the time.” Enjoying travel doesn’t mean you...

This Article on Sex Is Fucking Dumb.
The first paragraph of the article declares: The widely-held notion that women lose interest in sex after marriage has officially been debunked, according to a recent survey. And then goes on to explain: despite the fact that most married women value sex, the survey found that two thirds would rather do something other than get it on, such as go to the spa, watch a movie, use Facebook or...

The Future Is Awesome
I just finished Into The Wild by Jon Krakauer. It was good, but that’s not what makes the future awesome. What makes the future awesome is that I went onto to the New York Public Library’s website and reserved the book. Then they emailed me when it was ready to check out, I logged onto the website again and they sent the book to my Kindle. I read the book (in 3 days) and sent it...

I'm a Dick: Online Dating Edition
I hopped on OK Cupid today when i was bored at work. It has this newsfeed thingy on the front page that tells you when people upload a photo or edit their profile. It also has a feature that allows you to suggest edits to other people’s profiles. So the first thing I see is that some chick edited her profile to read “Message me if your fun and a gentleman.” I went ahead and...

I just finished 1Q84
That book served no purpose in my life. It was a thousand pages and could have been 200. I can’t say that I hated it, but I never really cared about what happened and I’d counsel anyone who asked against reading it. There are many better ways to spend 1,000 pages.

Put This On: Ramen Noodle Budget: Getting Started →
putthison: Before you head out in search of bargains, you have to do some personal research about where things stand in your wardrobe. If you’re on a budget, then you have to make every purchase count. Remember: the most expensive item you own is the one you never wear. Step One: Know what actually…

I had a dream...
that I met Eli Manning. I was sitting outside my favorite bar chatting with a friend and he walked by on the street. I said Hi as he went into a liquor store next door. He came out, I made some joke I can’t recall, he laughed and we bro hugged it out. I guess having that dream is as close as I came to celebrating Martin Luther King, Jr Day yesterday. Cool story, bro.

Dating Dennis: In Response to an Ask
This is in response to Victoria’s Ask. It’s too long to fit into a normal Response. The last dating update I posted included the demise of a burgeoning relationship, me sleeping with a friend and me stressing out about going out with my friend’s girlfriend’s boss. Turns out that my friend’s girlfriend’s boss reads my blog so she saw that and did not take too...
